Donated Husky Tanks at the Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar

On April 6th and 7th, The Valley Shore Mutual Aid Association presented "Rural Water Supply Operations Seminar: Moving Big Water with No Fire Hydrants" in Killingworth, Connecticut. Husky® donated two 2,100 gallon folding frame tanks for the equipment raffle, which was held at the end of Saturday's session. Firematic, one of Husky's dealers, also donated equipment for the raffle.

Mark Davis, president of Got Big Water, the training company for the seminar, had this to say about the event:

"The attendance at the seminar was our largest ever with over 150 participants both days. AND......the 2-hr tanker shuttle resulted in an average flow of 1600 gpm with a peak flow of 2,400 gpm - sustained - for the final 50 minutes of the drill.

"The folks were awesome - the logistical support was awesome - and the water hauled, the MOST EVER at any of our programs! We have never broken the 1,500 gpm mark - let alone the 2,000 gpm mark!

A great job done by Paul Fazzino (President) and the officers of the VSMA Association!!! We also thank the vendors that provided support to the program. Kochek gave away an 8-inch Holley Tube, a Big Water Low Level Strainer, a barrel strainer, and a self-leveling strainer. Husky Tanks gave away - TWO - 2,100-gallon dump tanks! Wow!"
